Taylor Porter Partner Charles Schutte joined the firm in 2023 and practices primarily in business organizations, business litigation, banks and banking, commercial real estate, medical malpractice, professional liability, insurance defense, construction law, and premises liability.

Charles received his J.D. from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1977 and his B.S. from the University of New Orleans in 1974.

He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana.

Mr. Schutte is a member of the Louisiana State and Baton Rouge Bar Association.  He is also a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute (DRI), and the Bank Council of the Louisiana Bankers Association.

Charles is a licensed title insurance agent in Louisiana.
