Joe Norman is an associate in the Taylor Porter Lake Charles office and has been practicing law since 2015.
Joe practices in the areas of employment law, construction law, and general commercial law. He is a co-author of Employment Law (Louisiana Practice Series) (Thomson Reuters), a comprehensive treatise on Louisiana employment law that is widely used by Louisiana practitioners.
Joe advises employers on compliance with various federal and state laws on employee rights and benefits, including the Louisiana Wage Payment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family & Medical Leave Act.
He regularly investigates and defends employers against Charges of Discrimination filed by employees with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Joe also performs corporate transactional work and contributes to the annual updates to Louisiana Corporations (Louisiana Practice Series) (Thomson Reuters).
Joe earned his B.A. in history and political science in 2012 from McNeese State University. He earned his J.D. in 2015 from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center.
