Leslie Ayres Daniel

Special Counsel

Leslie Ayres Daniel practices in the area of commercial litigation, commercial transactions, banking law, and oil and gas.

Mrs. Daniel is licensed to practice in the states of Louisiana and Texas and all federal courts in Louisiana as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mrs. Daniel received her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas in 2002. She obtained a B.A. in English and Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi in 1999, graduating magna cum laude.

She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Texas State Bar Association, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, where she chaired the Volunteer Committee in 2004, the Feliciana Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. Mrs. Daniel is the past-president of the Feliciana Bar Association. 

Mrs. Daniel began her legal career at Taylor Porter where she practiced for almost five years. In 2007, Mrs. Daniel became General Counsel for an independent oil company. In 2010, Mrs. Daniel rejoined the firm to continue her legal career.

In 2007, Mrs. Daniel was named one of the "Top Forty Under 40" by the Baton Rouge Business Report.

Recent notable matters:

  • Representing corporations and individuals in the prosecution of accounting malpractice and fraud actions.
  • Representing a major insurance company in the defense of a proposed nationwide class action.
  • Representing a public institution in the negotiation of pipeline servitude agreements and mineral leases.

Mrs. Daniel serves as the assistant town attorney for St. Francisville.

In the community, Mrs. Daniel serves on the Board of Directors for the West Feliciana Education Foundation, and she is on the Vestry of Grace Episcopal Church of West Feliciana.
