Taylor Porter Special Counsel Leslie Ayres Daniel concentrates her practice in estate planning and administration matters, including succession, family estate planning, wills, powers of attorney, guardianship issues, probate, trusts, assets, and other legal considerations to help clients plan for their long-term futures. In addition, her broad practice area experience includes oil and gas (landowners’ rights), commercial litigation, and commercial transactions.
Mrs. Daniel is licensed to practice in the states of Louisiana and Texas and all federal courts in Louisiana as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Mrs. Daniel currently serves as the assistant town attorney for St. Francisville.
Mrs. Daniel began her legal career at Taylor Porter where she practiced for almost five years before becoming General Counsel for an independent oil company. In 2010, she rejoined the firm to continue her legal career. Mrs. Daniel has been previously named one of the “Top Forty Under 40” by the Baton Rouge Business Report.

She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Texas State Bar Association, Baton Rouge Bar Association (former Volunteer Committee Chair in 2004), Federal Bar Association and Feliciana Bar Association (former President).
In the community, Mrs. Daniel serves on the Advisory Board of Directors for the West Feliciana Education Foundation, and she is on the Vestry of Grace Episcopal Church of West Feliciana.
Mrs. Daniel received her J.D. from University of Texas in 2002. She obtained a B.A. in English and Southern Studies from University of Mississippi in 1999, graduating magna cum laude.
