Ryan Gonzales, an Associate with Taylor Porter, practices primarily in tax and business law. Ryan assists clients with various tax and transactional needs, including structuring, forming, operating, buying and selling business entities, advising clients on tax planning and compliance, representing clients before various tax authorities, and assisting with forming and governing tax-exempt organizations. His practice includes drafting various business and commercial transaction documents and opinion letters.
Ryan is also a certified public accountant. Prior to joining Taylor Porter, he worked as a tax associate in the New York office of a Big Four accounting firm. Ryan previously served as a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance in Washington, DC.
Ryan received his Masters of Laws in Taxation in 2016 from Georgetown University Law Center, and he earned his J.D. in 2015 from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Ryan earned his Master of Accounting and bachelor of science in Management (Finance), cum laude, in 2009, from Tulane University.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ryan has co-authored several articles on the developments of the SBA loan programs and the CARES Act within the Taylor Porter Coronavirus - Legal News and Business Resources blog section.
