Ms. Ann M. Halphen has extensive experience handling professional liability and general insurance and health care related matters.  She has been handling medical malpractice claims since 1986.  Ms. Halphen has specific experience handling professional liability of all persons in the health care related field.  In addition, Ms. Halphen has had significant successes in defending hospitals in regards to medical staff privilege and peer review disputes, including HCQIA defenses as well as defending EMTALA claims.  Ms. Halphen also has particular experience with arbitrating physician recruitment and employment agreement.  

Ms. Halphen currently represents large multi-specialty clinics and their affiliates and employees, including physicians, several hospitals and emergency room physicians throughout the state.  In addition, Ms. Halphen represented manufacturers of several medical products, which include knee prostheses, heart balloon catheters and heart monitors.

Ms. Halphen has been a guest speaker at several seminars including Nursing Home Malpractice in Louisiana, and updates the Louisiana Hospital Association every year on recent law changes and significant case law. She has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers.
