Cindy Amedee joined the firm as an associate in 2008.  Her current areas of practice include health care, medical malpractice and liability defense, mental health law, and general litigation.  Ms. Amedee obtained her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center, graduating magna cum laude in 2008, and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Louisiana State University, graduating summa cum laude.

While in law school, Ms. Amedee was a Senior Editor of the Southern University Law Review and a recipient of the 2007 Federal Courts Award, as well as CALI awards for excellence in federal jurisdiction, torts, Louisiana civil procedure, and legal writing.  Prior to graduating from law school and joining Taylor Porter, Ms. Amedee worked as a legal assistant and paralegal.

Ms. Amedee is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Louisiana Hospital Association, Louisiana Association of Defense Council, and the Defense Research Institute.  She is also a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Baton Rouge Bar Association, and the Federal Fifth Circuit Bar Association, as well as several honors societies, including Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa. 

Ms. Amedee is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Louisiana.
