Dawn Bonnecaze received a Masters of Law in Taxation from Boston University School of Law in the Graduate Tax Program in 1998. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1997 and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana State University in 1993.

Before joining Taylor Porter, she served as general counsel for Stonetrust Commercial Insurance Company, a corporate attorney for Amicus Management Services, and an associate with Gardere & Wynne, LLP in Dallas, Texas. Specifically in the insurance regulatory field, Ms. Bonnecaze has worked on the mutualization of a workers' compensation self-insurers fund and the conversion of a mutual insurance company to a stock insurance company with a parent holding company. She has also advised and assisted clients on the formation, reorganization, and liquidation of corporate structures.

In addition to her legal background, Ms. Bonnecaze is licensed in Louisiana as a Certified Public Accountant and worked as an Associate Director for Postlethwaite & Netterville, APAC.

Ms. Bonnecaze is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Texas. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Baton Rouge Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants.
