Erinn Neyrey’s practice focuses primarily on environmental regulatory compliance and permitting issues, including the areas of water, solid and hazardous waste, recycling, wetlands, sanitary sewage treatment plants and underground storage tanks. In addition, she is involved with environmental enforcement action response and resolution, as well as issues of legislative and executive lobbying and ethics. Ms. Neyrey is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts and in the federal district courts for the Middle, Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana.
Ms. Neyrey received a B.S. in Psychology from Spring Hill College in 1992, a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University in 1995, and a Master of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School in 1996. Following graduation from law school, she worked for Texas A&M University at the Texas Institute for Applied Environmental Research (TIAER), focusing on water resource management and agricultural regulatory compliance issues. From 1999 until 2002, Ms. Neyrey joined the LSU Sea Grant Legal Program as the legal coordinator. While at the Sea Grant Legal Program, Ms. Neyrey’s work included natural resource law, coastal zone program issues, coastal management regulation, aquaculture regulation and management, and water use regulation.
In 2002, Ms. Neyrey joined Taylor Porter’s environmental group, working with business and industry clients on a broad range of regulatory compliance and permitting matters. In 2005, after a move to Salt Lake City, Utah, she worked for the Utah Rivers Council spearheading legislative and administrative initiatives and acted as the Council’s main advocate at the state legislature for all program areas, lobbying and testifying before legislative committees regarding bills of interest to the Council. Returning to Louisiana, she was an associate with Peragine & Lea, L.L.C. where she practiced in contract and corporate governance law. And, as of May 2007, Ms. Neyrey rejoined Taylor Porter and continues to work with the environmental group at the firm.
