Lexi Holinga joined the firm in 2007.  She practices in the area of general and commercial litigation with an emphasis on toxic tort litigation, class action defense, and products liability litigation.  She obtained her Juris Doctorate and a Bachelor of Civil Law from Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2005.  Ms. Holinga graduated magna cum laude from Louisiana State University in 2002 where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

She is admitted to practice before all Louisiana courts, state and federal, as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Ms. Holinga is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Baton Rouge Bar Association, where she serves on the Publications Committee.  In 2005, she assisted the Louisiana State Bar Association by drafting the Emergency Pro Bono Civil Legal Assistance Rule, which was adopted by the Louisiana Supreme Court.

She is also a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.  In addition, she is a member of the Junior League of Baton Rouge and Forum 35.

Ms. Holinga’s practice has included, among others, the following:

  • Participation as counsel for a major chemical manufacturing company in defending multiple occupational disease premises liability suits relating to allegations of asbestos, noise, and chemical exposure;
  • Participation as counsel for major chemical manufacturing companies in defending major class actions involving groundwater contamination;
  • Participation as counsel for a major heavy equipment manufacturer in products liability actions;
  • Participation as counsel for a major general contractor in defending multiple suits related to asbestos exposure;
  • Participation as counsel for a trucking and transportation company in defending a major class action involving a chemical spill;
  • Participation as trial counsel for a major chemical manufacturing company in a class action trial related to an offsite migration following a chemical release.
