Matthew Lee Mullins, a partner, joined the firm in 2005.  Mr. Mullins has a wide variety of experience in corporate, business, and commercial real estate matters, including mergers and acquisitions.

He received his Juris Doctorate from the Tulane Law School in 2005, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif.  Mr. Mullins graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the E.J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University.  He is admitted to practice before all State Courts.  He is a member of the Baton Rouge and Louisiana Bar Associations, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and Defense Research Institute.  Mr. Mullins is also licensed to issue title insurance policies in the State of Louisiana.

Transaction Experience:

  • Representation of radiation facility in long-term ground lease and medical office lease transactions;
  • Acquisition of numerous Physician Practices for Hospital Service District;
  • Acquisition of Physician Practice for non-profit radiation center;
  • Representation of radiation center in purchase, construction and leasing of new radiation therapy center and supporting medical office space;
  • Representation of hospital service district in connection with new market tax credit financing;
  • Representation of radiation center in various rounds of tax-exempt debt financing (both secured and unsecured);
  • Representation of lender in connection with private placement of tax-exempt bonds by non-profit hospital system (both secured and unsecured);
  • Representation of lender in connection with loans to states largest operator of nursing homes;
  • Representation of local large private oil-jobber in connection with acquisition of assets of numerous targets and in corporate restructuring of entity;
  • Representation of investors in connection with purchase of real estate and other assets of debtor from bankruptcy trustee;
  • Local counsel for chemical company in connection with multi-billion dollar credit facilities;
  • Local counsel for product manufacturer in connection with multi-billion dollar credit facilities;
  • Representation of car-dealer in connection with purchase and construction of new facilities;
  • Representation of state bank in connection with acquisition and construction of numerous branches throughout Louisiana;
  • Representation of Fortune 50 pharmacy in the acquisition, entitlement and construction of pharmacies in Louisiana;
  • Representation of developers in acquisition, entitlement and construction of various real estate developments;
  • Representation of developer in purchase of promissory note, foreclosure on property, obtaining credit facility and construction of multi-million dollar apartment complex;
  • Representation of local private utility company in connection acquisition of property and servitudes and bond financing;
  • Representation of Hollywood Trucks, LLC in connection with corporate restructuring, reorganization and related financing, and in connection with acquisition of membership interests;
  • Representation of Evergreen Working Capital, LLC in connection with the formation of the entity and raising venture capital;
  • Representation of Skyhawk Security, LLC in connection with the formation of the entity and raising venture capital;
  • Representation of investors in private placements for oil and gas investments;
