Rick J. Norman is an “of counsel” member of Taylor Porter. Presently, he practices through the Norman Business Law Center in Lake Charles. Mr. Norman has worked as an instructor at McNeese State University in Business Law, a City Attorney for the City of Lake Charles and as the Chief of the Civil Division for the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana.
Mr. Norman graduated from Louisiana State University (B.A., 1977) and received his J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center (1979). He also attended the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Advocacy Institute (1984).
Mr. Norman is currently a member of the Council of the Louisiana State Law Institute. He is also a member of the Personnel Board for the City of Lake Charles.
Mr. Norman has served as Chairman of the Ethics Committee for the Louisiana State Bar Association as well as a member of the Governmental Ethics Board for the City of Lake Charles.
