Taylor Porter Partner and Environmental Practice Team Leader Anne Crochet co-authored the 2015-2016 edition of Louisiana Environmental Compliance, a detailed overview of existing programs and a guide and training manual for dealing with environmental compliance issues.
The book covers what the general practitioner needs to know to participate in the field of environmental law, including such topics as: dealing with agency organizations; administrative enforcement and hearings; remediation and cost recovery; permits; and waste management.
For more than 30 years, Crochet has represented major corporations by providing regulatory compliance advice, securing permits for new and expanded facilities, defending regulatory enforcement actions and protecting interests through litigation. She counsels generators, recyclers, transporters, and operators of treatment, storage, and disposal facilities in the areas of air, water, and especially solid and hazardous waste management. She also provides advice in commercial transactions, real estate transfers and cost recovery actions involving environmental issues.
Crochet received a B.A. in Journalism from Louisiana State University in 1980 and her J.D. from Louisiana State University in 1983.
She is a past chair of the Louisiana State Bar Association Environmental Law Council and associate editor of the section’s newsletter, The Louisiana Environmental Lawyer. She is a member of the Air & Waste Management Association and the Water Environment Foundation and their affiliated Louisiana chapters.
