French Elected Board Vice Chair for American Red Cross, Louisiana Capital Area-West Chapter

Taylor Porter attorney Ryan French has been elected vice chair of the board of directors for American Red Cross Louisiana Capital Area-West. The Louisiana Capital Area board consists of more than 20 business leaders, and the Louisiana Capital Area-West Chapter supports the Capital Area, Acadiana and Southwest Louisiana, while collaborating across the statewide region. The Louisiana Region of the Red Cross serves the 4.65 million residents in the 64-parish state, responding to more than 1,500 home fire disasters, helping over 2,300 people, briefing more than 25,000 service members and their families through our Service to Armed Forces ‘Get to Know Us’ program, and training close to 31,500 people in health and safety techniques, last fiscal year.

Practicing law since 2012, French is an associate with Taylor Porter, where he handles cases in a variety of practice areas, including commercial litigation, complex litigation, property rights litigation, construction litigation, church property law, and white collar criminal defense. French has been ranked by his peers for four consecutive years (2015-2018) among Louisiana Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” in Business Litigation.

French graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. In addition to his legal practice, French boasts a background in accounting and finance, having obtained a B.S. in accounting from LSU. In the community, French has handled multiple pro bono cases, including successions, unfair trade practice claims, and contested real estate title actions. French is an Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America program.
