French, Milazzo, Tumminello Elected to Partner at Taylor Porter

Taylor Porter has elected attorneys Ryan French, John Milazzo, and Trey Tumminello to Partner.

Ryan French handles cases in a variety of areas, including commercial litigation, complex litigation, property rights litigation, construction litigation, church property law, and white collar criminal defense. He has been ranked by his peers among Louisiana Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” in Business Litigation, and also by Best Lawyers in America in Commercial Litigation. He graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2012. In addition to his legal practice, French boasts a background in accounting and finance, having obtained a B.S. in accounting from LSU (2009). French is an Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America program.

John Milazzo practices in a variety of areas including commercial litigation, banking, construction, and transactions. He represents commercial banks in loan workouts and litigation, including foreclosures, defense of lender liability suits, and bankruptcies. Milazzo’s construction practice includes representing owners, contractors, and suppliers in both litigation and drafting contractual agreements. He also represents other clients in contractual disputes, property rights disputes, securities litigation, and collections. His transactional work includes drafting business and real estate documents, corporate governance agreements, asset purchase agreements, loan and security documents, UCC documents, and master service agreements, among others. Milazzo graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2013, earned his B.B.A. from Millsaps College in 2009, and received his Masters of Business Administration from Millsaps’ Else School of Management in 2010. 

Trey Tumminello practices primarily in the areas of commercial transactions, sports law, and real estate. His work has included representing buyers and sellers in sales of company assets, membership interests, stock, and real estate. He also has experience in commercial litigation, general litigation, and foreclosures. His work has spanned the stages of electronic discovery, dispositive motions, pre-trial motions, writ applications, appeals, and settlements. Tumminello has been ranked by his peers among the Louisiana Rising Stars in Business & Corporate Law. Tumminello received his J.D. in 2013 from Vanderbilt University Law School, and earned his B.A.in political science in 2010 from the University of Notre Dame, and he currently serves as the President of the Notre Dame Club of South Louisiana. In the community, he is a member of the board of directors of LSU Theatre's Swine Palace. Tumminello served as Chairman of the 2018 Baton Rouge Bar Association Belly Up to the Bar Committee, and in recognition of his service, received a BRBA President's Award.
