Hughes Elected to Taylor Porter Executive Committee

Taylor Porter Partner Eddie Hughes has been elected to the Firm's Executive Committee, which oversees the management and operations of Taylor Porter.

Practicing law since 2004, Hughes serves as the practice group leader of Taylor Porter's Oil/Gas/Regulated Industry practice, and he represents clients in the areas of oil and gas litigation, commercial litigation and transactions, toxic tort litigation, and insurance defense and casualty litigation.

Hughes received his J.D. from the LSU Law Center. He graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) with a B.A. in Political Science. Before law school, Hughes worked as an independent petroleum landman where he negotiated the sale and acquisition of potential and existing oil and gas properties for various small to medium-sized oil and gas exploration companies.

In the community, Hughes currently serves as a member of the Louisiana Bar Foundation Capital Area Community Partnership Panel. He formerly served as the Chairman on the Board of Directors for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.
