We are sad to report that the Taylor Porter family has lost former Partner and Of Counsel, Bill Wilson. Bill passed away March 29, 2021.

Bill practiced with Taylor Porter for 50 years and since his graduation from LSU Law in 1969. Bill’s litigation career with the firm was legendary in many ways. He also practiced in drug and medical device litigation, products liability, general insurance, corporate defense, First Amendment litigation, and he was a qualified mediator. Bill was selected among his peers for inclusion in Louisiana Super Lawyers. Bill helped more than 5,000 children through his pro bono service.

Bill developed a passion for the Louisiana coast and its preservation. He was an active member of the Louisiana Marine Consortium. In addition, Bill served as Chancellor of the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Baton Rouge. He was an avid outdoors man who loved to hunt and fish while reading.
