Taylor Porter Partner Amy Groves Lowe served as troop leader for first graders from University Laboratory School Daisy Scout Troop 10062, which recently visited Baton Rouge General to give the medical center a donation of $350 raised from cookie sales.

“The troop has many options of how to spend the money from their cookie sales, including on fun things for themselves,” troop leader Amy Groves Lowe said. “These girls were focused on doing something for others. So when Catherine told us about giving money to the hospital where her dad works, the girls all voted to send some of their cookie profits to the Baton Rouge General Foundation, specifically the BRG Regional Burn Center.”

“We’re so glad you could come to Baton Rouge General to see a little of what your kind and generous contribution does for kids all the way to senior adults,” CEO Mark Slyter said while visiting with the troop.

The girls gave money to the burn center because “it would help some people who are burned feel better,” 7-year-old Catherine Slyter said.
