Millender Joins Board of Charles W. Lamar Jr. YMCA

Taylor Porter associate Ne’Shira Millender has been elected to the board of the Charles W. Lamar Jr. YMCA. The Charles W. Lamar Jr. YMCA is one of nine locations of the YMCA of the Capital Area, which has served Baton Rouge and surrounding communities since 1917. The Y offers various programs and services, and is a nonprofit, community service organization with a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Millender is an associate with Taylor Porter, where she practices primarily in the area of commercial litigation.

Within the Baton Rouge community, Millender is a board member of Volunteers in Public Schools, which works to build strong partnerships between local area public schools and the community to help students achieve success. Millender is an active member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the organization’s various community service projects; Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Baton Rouge Louis A. Martinet Legal Society and the Dean Henry George McMahon American Inn of Court.

Millender graduated magna cum laude from Southern University Law Center in 2014. She received her Bachelor of Arts in mass communication from Louisiana State University in 2007.
