Taylor Porter attorney Ne'Shira Millender served as a panelist for "Women on Working in the Legal Field," an evening of poise, professionalism, beauty, and achievement, held Oct. 18, at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. The panel and event were produced by the Black Law Students Association and Women Law Students Association, and featured leading attorneys throughout Louisiana.
At Taylor Porter, Millender practices primarily in the area of commercial litigation, including commercial disputes, workers compensation, contract disputes, and the analysis of employment policies and benefits. She also represents physicians and hospitals in malpractice suits and commercial litigation.
Millender graduated from Southern University Law Center in 2014. She received her Bachelor of Arts in mass communication from Louisiana State University in 2007.
Millender is an active member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the organization’s various community service projects; Louisiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Baton Rouge Louis A. Martinet Legal Society and the Dean Henry George McMahon American Inn of Court. Within the Baton Rouge community, Ne’Shira is a board member of Volunteers in Public Schools, which works to build strong partnerships between local area public schools and the community to help students achieve success. She also is a board member of the Charles W. Lamar Jr. YMCA.
