October 08, 2019

Taylor Porter Partner Barrye Panepinto Miyagi has earned the Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Fellow (CMSP-F) Certification, administered by the Louisiana Association of Self Insured Employers (LASIE). The CMSP Fellow program is a new credential in the insurance (including self-insurance) industry.

The CMSP Fellow certification is designed to identify professionals who work within the workers’ compensation and liability insurance (including self-insurance) industry and have demonstrated superior knowledge and skills in the field of Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance. To earn this designation, candidates successfully complete a 36-hour course, which includes an exam and case study. To maintain the CMSP Fellow certification, the practitioner must take 24 hours of continuing education every two years in the Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance field.

At Taylor Porter, Miyagi practices in the areas of general litigation, toxic tort defense and  alternative dispute resolution. She also has more than 25 years of experience defending some of the region’s most prominent petrochemical, energy and manufacturing companies.
