Seven Taylor Porter Attorneys Ranked in Chambers USA; Environmental Practice Ranked in Top Tier

Taylor Porter had seven attorneys ranked as “Leaders in Their Field,” and the firm’s Environment practice and Practice Group Leader Anne Crochet were both ranked in Band 1 (Top Tier) in Louisiana in the Chambers USA 2016 Directory, which has ranked law firms and attorneys globally since 1990.

The annual guide of the best law firms and lawyers in business is published by London-based research and ranking organization, Chambers and Partners. Chambers evaluates and ranks attorneys and firms nationally and by state through extensive independent research that includes interviews with firm clients and peer attorneys. Attorneys and firms receiving superior rankings in selected practice areas and each state are also recognized with a “Band 1” designation. Researchers assess technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment and other qualities most valued by the client.  

According to this year’s Chambers directory, Taylor Porter is “a respected Baton Rouge-based firm with extensive environmental law expertise, and its dedicated practitioners handle the full range of environmental law issues, offering substantive experience in connection with regulatory compliance and environmental law disputes.” Anne “is singled out by market sources for her deep expertise in the legal issues surrounding the management of hazardous waste. Her broader environmental law practice sees her assist clients with permitting, compliance and enforcement issues.”

Taylor Porter’s general commercial litigation practice was ranked by Chambers, and referred to as a “broad-based litigation practice that attracts particular praise for its expert handling of energy disputes. Also acts on matters such as antitrust cases, breach of contract claims and securities litigation for multinational and local businesses, including healthcare and financial services companies.” Partner Fred Tulley ranked in Band 1 in Louisiana Commercial Litigation as he “is held in high regard for his experience in securities litigation, which forms part of his broad commercial disputes practice.
