The "Taylor Porter Rooftop Garden," the law firm's renovations on the Chase North Tower 8th Floor River Terrace and designed by Joseph Furr Design Studio Landscape Architecture, received a 2016 "Good Growth Award" from the Baton Rouge Growth Coalition at the organization's 20th Annual Awards Gala, held Oct. 13 at the Renaissance Hotel Baton Rouge. The Good Growth Awards gala is presented by the Baton Rouge Growth Coalition to recognize and honor professionals in the real estate development industry who are “raising the bar” of development and having the greatest impact on the quality of life in the Baton Rouge community.

Taylor Porter's 8th Floor River Terrace, which officially opened September 2016, has allowed the firm to host outside events which capture the city’s best views of Capitol and the Mississippi River. The renovation includes sitting areas, wireless capable conference room and a putting green. The outdoor space has been used for several client events, community organization meetings and employee gatherings. The general contractor was Cangelosi Ward General Contractors LLC; engineering by Russell Gardner; and developer, Wampold Companies. Taylor Porter's river terrace was also recently featured in the Baton Rouge Business Report's article, "
Taylor Porter’s New Offices Feature Plenty of Space — and a Panoramic View of Downtown Baton Rouge."

In January 2016, Taylor Porter moved into its new space on the 8th, 9th and 10th floors of the Chase North Tower from the original Chase Building South Tower space. The new interior space features three floors of new offices, wireless and cable-ready conference rooms with big-screen presentation projectors, meeting rooms, kitchens, internal staircase, a large community board room, and an open-floor greeting area in the lobby. The interior project was designed by the architectural firm Coleman Partners Architects, LLC., which also provided the interior design services. The artwork was curated by and purchased through Ann Connelly Fine Art who commissioned several custom pieces.

“We are proud of our new offices at Taylor Porter, including a beautiful, outdoor river terrace on the eighth floor of the Chase North Tower," said Taylor Porter Managing Partner Skip Philips. "Our reinvestment in downtown Baton Rouge enables us to remain in the same general location that our firm has occupied since 1968. We hope our clients, attorneys and staff, and the community-at-large will join us in utilizing our exceptional facilities.”
