Taylor Porter Attorney Juan Miranda Speaks on Engineering/Law at LSU

Taylor Porter attorney Juan Miranda served as a guest speaker today for Professor Maud Walsh's class at the LSU School of Plant, Environmental and Soil Sciences. Miranda, a former mechanical and project engineer and licensed engineering intern for the state of Louisiana, discussed his career in engineering and law.

At Taylor Porter, Miranda is an associate practicing in a wide array of areas, including environmental matters, patent prosecution, general litigation, insurance defense, commercial litigation, construction, banking and foreclosures, and class action lawsuits. He is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state and federal courts. He is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to attending law school, Miranda worked as a mechanical and project engineer with Cornerstone Chemical. Miranda graduated from Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2014. He was a member of the Chancellor’s List, Moot Court Board, a CALI award recipient and he participated in the Immigration Law Clinic. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans, where he was a member of Pi Tau Sigma Honorary Mechanical Engineering Society and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
