Taylor Porter Attorneys, Staff “Geaux Casual for Pro Bono 2017”

October 19, 2017

Taylor Porter participated in the 2017 and Sixth Annual "Geaux Casual for Pro Bono" fundraiser day, held across Baton Rouge for the Baton Rouge Bar Association. All proceeds benefit the Baton Rouge Bar Foundation Pro Bono Project. Attorneys and staff were allowed to wear jeans to work in conjunction with a $5 donation.

The Baton Rouge Bar Foundation Pro Bono Project is dedicated to improving equal access to justice for all and has been making a meaningful change in people's lives since 1986. The Pro Bono Project volunteers provide critical civil legal services for poor people in our community struggling with some of life's most difficult problems: family disintegration, loss of housing, bankruptcy, loss of income through disability and domestic violence.

Since Taylor Porter's founding in 1912 when co-founder B.B. Taylor helped launch Baton Rouge's first YMCA, Taylor Porter has embraced the role of “corporate citizen” and continued for more than 100 years a strong tradition of both pro bono and community service throughout our City, supporting more than 50 community and nonprofit organizations. Whether serving on the boards of directors of nonprofit organizations or making contributions to worthwhile causes, our attorneys and staff make significant contributions to the communities in which they live and work.
