Taylor Porter Helps 21st Annual Swollfest Rodeo Raise Close to $100,000 for Area Charities

​Taylor Porter was proud to sponsor and participate in the 21st Annual Swollfest Fishing Rodeo, held in Grand Isle. The event raised $95,000 for area charities, and had a record-breaking 851 registered anglers for the weekend. Receiving donations included Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital, Grand Isle School, the Dr. Matt Matherne Memorial Scholarship winner Haylie Magnon, MDA Summer Camp, Behind the Line Baton Rouge, and Sportsman Foundation for Military Families. 

Since 1997, this nonprofit organization,
Swollfest.com, holds its annual fishing tournament in Grand Isle, and raises funds to benefit charities serving children and veterans. Founded and run by Baton Rouge dentist Nick Rauber, the event relies on student volunteers, volunteer board members, and approximately 100 sponsors.
