Taylor Porter attorneys participated in the annual Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge PB&J Luncheon, held Thursday, June 15, at Park Elementary. The annual event enables the organization's board of trustees and supporting members to spend time with members of the Boys & Girls Club.

Taylor Porter Partner
John McDermott serves as the chairman of the board of governors and a trustee for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge, while Taylor Porter Partner Erin Sayes Kenny is also a board member, and committee member of the organization's Steak and Stake fundraising event. Also attending the event from Taylor Porter included Of Counsel Bill Wilson, and summer law clerks Andree Comeaux and Raymond Wilkes.

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge was established 30 years ago to provide out-of-school-time programs for members. It serves nearly 10,000 young people through afterschool, summer, youth legislature, and violence prevention programs. While afterschool and summer programs are the foundation of a traditional Boys & Girls Club experience, the Club also offers opportunities to promote the healthy lifestyles and academic success of members.

Since Taylor Porter's founding in 1912 when co-founder B.B. Taylor helped launch Baton Rouge's first YMCA, Taylor Porter has embraced the role of “corporate citizen” and continued for more than 100 years a strong tradition of community service throughout our City, supporting more than 50 community and nonprofit organizations. Whether serving on the boards of directors of nonprofit organizations or making contributions to worthwhile causes, our attorneys and staff make significant contributions to the communities in which they live and work.
