Taylor Porter Partner Anne Crochet to Vice Chair Upcoming Baton Rouge Blues Foundation Blues Gala

​Taylor Porter Partner Anne Crochet, board member and secretary of the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation, will serve as vice chair of the 2018 Blues Gala, taking place Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Main Library at Goodwood, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

​The event will feature Lil' Walter, Lonesome Sundown, Joyce Jackson, Chris Tomas King, and Henry Clement. Taylor Porter is a proud sponsor.

The
Baton Rouge Blues Foundation is a nonprofit founded to promote, preserve and celebrate the Baton Rouge blues culture and bring the best of Louisiana swamp blues music to the world. Funds raised allow the Foundation to offer several mission-focused programs, including: (1) the annual Gala to honor and celebrate Baton Rouge blues legends; (2) the annual Blues Festival, one of America’s oldest blues festivals featuring local and nationally and internationally acclaimed blues musicians; (3) the Blues History Project, documenting local performances and interviews with established blues musicians along with narratives about the roots of swamp blues and its impact on other musical forms; and (4) the Blues Education Program,  promoting the history of Louisiana swamp blues and teaching local youth.
