Taylor Porter is proud to sponsor the 7th Annual Nest Fest fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 6., at the Bossier Civic Center, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event benefits Renesting Project, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax exempt, public charity.

This organization provides gently used furniture and household items to clients of registered social service agencies as they transition from homelessness. More than 1,400 men, women, and children have been served since January of 2010. Some of the agencies that have been helped include the Fuller Center, Volunteers of America Homeless Veterans Program, Bossier and Caddo Parish Schools, Hope for the Homeless, Easter Seals, Overton Brooks Medical Center Homeless Veterans Program and several others.

The event will feature New Orleans inspired cuisine, décor, live jazz music and “street” performers. There will also be a 3rd annual CHAIRished Beginnings Design Competition, and a silent auction with bidding on a wide array of items including gift certificates to restaurants, jewelry, furniture, vacation timeshares, etc.
