Taylor Porter is proud to sponsor the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra's "Pixar in Concert," two performances slated for April 23 during which movie scenes from Pixar’s 13 feature films will be shown on a state of the art screen, while the music from those films is performed by the BRSO. The music will be played from movies such as, ‘Toy Story’ trilogy, ‘Cars,’ ‘Finding Nemo,’ ‘A Bugs Life,’ ‘The Incredibles,’ and ‘Up.’

There will be two performances, a matinee at 3 p.m. and an evening concert at 7:30 p.m. Between the two performances, the Symphony will host a “petting zoo” where children can sample various instruments used to make sound effects in movies.

The mission of the Baton Rouge Symphony is to develop and maintain a financially-sound, first-class symphony orchestra with a regional and national profile which will provide education and cultural enrichment for the people of the greater Baton Rouge region and neighboring communities. Baton Rouge Symphony programs are made possible in part by: Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge; Community Funds for the Arts Campaign; City of Baton Rouge and the Parish of East Baton Rouge; Louisiana State Arts Council, Division of the Arts. Founded in 1947, the Baton Rouge Symphony is the oldest arts organization in the region and the oldest professional orchestra in the state. Its programs include a Symphony League, a Symphony Chorus, and the Louisiana Youth Orchestras. The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra also reaches over 7,000 young people per year while conducting numerous education and outreach programs.
