Taylor Porter was a proud sponsor of the Center for Planning Excellence's 11th Annual Louisiana Smart Growth Summit, which took place at the Shaw Center on Nov. 1-2. Approximately 800 people attended as the Summit brought together planners, developers, community advocates, elected officials, and other forward-thinking citizens together to network, brainstorm and learn alongside internationally acclaimed smart growth experts.

​In addition to the routine annual topics brought forth by the Summit, speakers also addressed recovery concerns in the wake of the August 2016 floods in Baton Rouge and preventative measures for the future. Louisiana Gov. Jon Bel Edwards served as a speaker on the second day of the event.
