Taylor Porter Sponsors LSU Law’s Annual Football Game to Raise Cancer Funds

February 21, 2017

Taylor Porter was a proud sponsor of LSU Law Center’s annual Barristers' Bowl football game to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The game was held Saturday, Feb. 18, at Baton Rouge's Memorial Stadium.

The Barristers’ Bowl is a full-tackle football game played by LSU Law School students, along with cheerleaders from the Law Center. Taylor Porter law clerks Coulter McMahen (LSU, 3L), Caroline Darwin (LSU, 3L), and Sara Kuebel (LSU, 2L) participated in the game.

The Barristers' Bowl, produced by the LSU Law Football Club, is a time-honored tradition that seeks to unite athletics, academics, and philanthropy. Since 1913, American Cancer Society has been dedicated to the fight against cancer, having saved 1.5 million lives over the past two decades. Donating and joining the fight against cancer is a way of honoring those who have passed and those who continue to fight.

The Barristers' Bowl came about with the help of former LSU Law Center Dean Cheney Joseph, who passed away in 2015.
