​Taylor Porter was a proud sponsor of “From the President to the Press Briefing: Exploring the Role of the Presidential Press Secretary,” hosted April 17 by the Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs at LSU’s Manship School for Mass Communication in collaboration with Cornerstone Government Affairs. 

Former White House press secretaries Ari Fleischer and Mike McCurry headlined the event that addressed the evolving role and responsibility of the presidential press secretary, a key communication role at the White House. Fleischer served as press secretary under President George W. Bush from January 2001 to July 2003. McCurry served as press secretary under President Bill Clinton from December 1994 to August 1998. Both have remained very active politically, serving in roles as consultants and public speakers since their departure from the White House.
