Taylor Porter Sponsors Second Annual NPR Founders Luncheon with Cokie Roberts

Taylor Porter is a proud sponsor of the Second Annual 89.3FM WRKF Radio Founders Luncheon with guest speaker Cokie Roberts, to be held Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Noon, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge.

Roberts will discuss the 2016 United States elections. Roberts served as NPR's congressional correspondent for more than 10 years and is currently a political commentator for ABC News. With her roots in Louisiana and extensive experience observing politics, she is sure to share a particularly interesting viewpoint. In her more than 40 years in broadcasting, the Louisiana native has won countless awards, including three Emmys. She has been inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame, and was cited by the American Women in Radio and Television as one of the 50 greatest women in hte history of broadcasting.

At the event, WRKF's board of directors will present its Founders Award to the Richard Kilbourne family, donor of the land for WRKF's first site and whose initials form the stations' call letters.
