Taylor Porter was a proud sponsor of the 2017 Volunteers in Public Schools' Annual Volunteer Picnic and Apple Awards, held May 9, 2017, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

Volunteers In Public Schools (VIPS) is an independent non-profit organization that seeks to increase volunteerism and community involvement in public schools. Each year, VIPS hosts an annual volunteer Picnic and Apple Awards Ceremony to pay tribute to the volunteers and partners that help make a difference in East Baton Rouge Parish Public Schools. VIPS offers four programs such as EveryBody  Reads, EveryOne Counts, Voyage and Partners in Education.
