TP “Belly Up With The Bar” Team Takes First Place “Best Elixir” in 2017 BRBA Fundraiser

The Taylor Porter “Belly Up with the Bar” team, "Fiesta with the Best’a," won the People’s Choice “Best Elixir” first place award for the “Pinarita” (frozen margarita and pina colada mix) cocktail served at the 2017 Baton Rouge Bar Association's annual "Belly Up With the Bar" fundraiser, held Oct. 27 at the Live Oak Arabian Stables in Baton Rouge.

​This was the third consecutive year the Taylor Porter team placed first in a category. 

The annual Baton Rouge Bar Association's brew fest and cook-off competition among law firms raises money for Youth Education programs, including Teen Court, the High School Mock Trial competition, Law Day, Lawyer in the Classroom and the Junior Partners Academy.

In addition to serving pinaritas, the TP Fiesta team also cooked "off the wall quesadillas."

Taylor Porter attorneys volunteering and attending the event included: Mike Walsh, Trey Tumminello, Caroline Darwin, Leah Canaday Cook, Tom Peak, Colin Peak, John Parker, Jonathan Moore, Bob Barton, Ryan French, Adam Thames, Kelley Dick, Ashley Carver Meredith, Juan Miranda, and Lauren Rivera. Tumminello served on the event committee.
