Taylor Porter is pleased to announce that Shelby G. LaPlante has joined the Firm as an Associate practicing in the areas of Medical Malpractice Defense, General/Tort Litigation, and Health Care Law.

Shelby G. Laplante has experience representing health care providers in malpractice lawsuits and medical review panel proceedings.  She also has experience defending hospitals in EMTALA claims and advising clients on employment issues, HIPAA, and privacy concerns.  Shelby recieved her J.D. in 2018 from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Political Science in 2015 from Louisiana State University.  She is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, the United States District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
