Grant Willis joined Taylor Porter in 2024 as Special Counsel practicing primarily in federal civil rights litigation, investigations, white-collar defense, and criminal defense including tax, insurance fraud, and public corruption.
He has experience handling investigations, preparing indictments, prosecuting criminal cases, trying cases before juries, drafting appellate pleadings, and arguing before courts of appeal, including the Louisiana Supreme Court. Grant has litigated complex cases from investigatory and discovery stage through the trial and settlement stage in both state and federal courts. In addition, he has nearly 10 years of experience working as a prosecutor for the Louisiana Department of Justice and Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Willis received his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. In addition, he received his Master of Laws in Public International Law from the University Leiden Law School in the Netherlands.
Grant is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts.
Mr. Willis is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. In the community, he is a member of the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) Board of Directors. CASA is a non-profit organization that advocates for timely placement of abused and neglected children in permanent, safe, and stable homes.
