Leah Canaday Cook is a Partner at Taylor Porter, where she practices in various areas of commercial litigation, construction law, environmental law, and appellate practice. She is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts and in the United States District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Louisiana. Leah has been selected by her peers to rank among Louisiana Super Lawyers “Rising Stars.”
Leah earned her J.D. in 2017 from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. As a law student, Leah was a member of the Louisiana Law Review, serving as articles editor on the editorial board of Volume 77. She earned CALI awards in Legal Research and Writing II, Civil Law of Property, Criminal Law, Legal Traditions & Systems, and Employment Law. She also served as a member of the Ethics Committee.
In addition to receiving her J.D., Leah earned her Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 2017, graduating from the Flores MBA Program. She was a member of both the Master of Business Administration Association and the National Association of Women MBAs. Leah graduated, summa cum laude, from Louisiana State University in 2012.
In the community, Leah serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Charles W. Lamar Jr. YMCA, which has served Baton Rouge and surrounding communities since 1917 and offers various programs and services with a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
In her free time, Leah enjoys traveling, reading, and chasing after her toddler.
