Formerly, Michael served as a law clerk for Chief District Judge Shelly Dick in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. His workload included Section 1983 civil rights cases, products liability cases, and various employment matters. Michael also received law clerk experience at various law firms in the areas of real estate, estate planning, and personal injury matters. Michael served as a session intern in the House Communications Office for the Louisiana House of Representatives.
In the community, Michael serves on the Louisiana State University Museum of Art Advisory Board. Michael is the former president of the LSU Law Golf Club. He is also a former volunteer mentor for Kids Hope USA at University Terrace Elementary. Michael served as a marshal for the Tureaud Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta.
