Taylor Porter Partner Vicki M. Crochet serves as the Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Employment, Labor and Benefits team. Ms. Crochet also serves as the vice-chair of the Taylor Porter Executive Committee.
Ms. Crochet practices in all areas of employment law. This includes advising clients regarding policies and procedures; representing them before governmental agencies including the EEOC, OFCCP, the Louisiana Commission on Human Rights (LCHR), and the Louisiana Civil Service Commission; and handling all aspects of employment litigation.
She also has conducted employee training and frequently lectures on employment law issues. Ms. Crochet currently is an associate member of the Greater Baton Rouge Society for Human Resource Management and the Louisiana Society for Human Resource Management. She is co-chair of the Law Institute’s Employment Law Committee.
Ms. Crochet is a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, which recognizes leading lawyers nationwide in the practice of Labor and Employment Law. Fellows are recognized as distinguished members of the labor and employment community who promote achievement, advancement, and excellence in the practice by setting standards of professionalism and civility, by sharing their experience and knowledge, and by acting as a resource for academia, the government, the judiciary, and the community at large.
Ms. Crochet has been named as Best Lawyers in America “Lawyer of the Year” in Baton Rouge in Labor and Employment Law several times (2014, 2019, 2021, 2025). Ms. Crochet was selected by her peers among the “Top 25 Louisiana Super Lawyers Women Attorneys,” along with her Super Lawyers recognition in Labor and Employment Law.
In the community, Ms. Crochet serves as a member of the Board of Directors of The Emerge Center. Ms. Crochet and her husband were the recipients of the 2011 Angel in Adoption award, which recognized their dedication to adoption and positive child welfare practices.
