Cameron Murray is an Associate at Taylor Porter whose practice focuses on commercial litigation, secured transactions, bankruptcy and corporate restructuring. He represents a diverse client base, including financial institutions, businesses, Chapter 7 trustees, and individuals in complex business disputes, secured transactions, and insolvency matters.
Cameron regularly advises on the structuring and enforcement of credit agreements, security interests, and related commercial instruments. As a litigator, Cameron serves as lead counsel in commercial disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, shareholder and derivative actions, real estate, and secured transactions.
A recognized voice in the bankruptcy and business law community, Cameron frequently presents lectures on evolving topics in bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and related matters. Cameron is deeply involved in local philanthropy and civic leadership and currently serves on the Board of City Year Baton Rouge and as a committee member at Capital Area United Way.
Prior to joining Taylor Porter, Cameron gained significant insight into regulatory and state legal matters as a law clerk for the Louisiana Department of Justice and as an intern at the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality. Cameron earned his J.D. from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he received the Judge Alvin B. Rubin Scholarship and the CALI Excellence Award in Bankruptcy Reorganization. A published legal author, Cameron’s work on Subchapter V Trustees has been featured in the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal. Cameron earned his B.A. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he was a member of UL Black Male Leadership Association and several national honor societies

- Representation in significant commercial foreclosures, including a 421-unit apartment complex securing a $36.5 million note and 313-unit and 246-unit multifamily developments securing a $23 million note.
- Lead trial counsel in multiple commercial disputes, including matters involving claims of $250,000 (breach of contract), $500,000 (invoice dispute), and $1.7 million (fraud and intentional concealment).
- Representation of creditors and other parties in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and related adversary proceedings.
- Structures, restructures, and drafts credit agreements, promissory notes, mortgages, security devices, subordination agreements, asset purchase agreements, and UCC collateral documentation.
- Advising on complex corporate reorganizations, including an international restructuring involving formation of new entities, share exchanges, and multiple mergers coordinated with counsel in New York, Japan, and Switzerland.
- Lead trial counsel for a group self-insurance fund organized under the Louisiana Revised Statutes in multiple commercial litigation matters.
