Matt Pettaway is a Partner at Taylor Porter practicing in multiple areas, including civil litigation, insurance coverage disputes, breach of contract disputes, employment law, construction law, bankruptcy law, debt collection, creditors’ rights, and business and commercial law.
Matt earned his J.D. and D.C.L. in 2010 from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and he obtained his B.S. in Business Management from Louisiana State University in 2006.
Mr. Pettaway has been a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association since 2010 and is licensed to practice in Louisiana state courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. He is a former prosecutor at the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office and a former adjunct professor of Business Law at McNeese State University, and he regularly presents continuing learning education seminars to other attorneys.
Matt co-authors the legal treatise Louisiana Employment Law (Thomson Reuters, 1083 pages, updated annually), used by both practitioners and in law schools.
