Vincent “Trey” Tumminello, III is a Partner with Taylor Porter, where he practices primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, sports law, and real estate. His work has included representing buyers and sellers in sales of company assets, membership interests, stock, and real estate. He also has experience in commercial litigation, general litigation, and foreclosures. His work has spanned the stages of electronic discovery, dispositive motions, pre-trial motions, writ applications, appeals, and settlements. Trey has been ranked by his peers as a “Rising Star” by Louisiana Super Lawyers in Business & Corporate law, and he was elected as one of LSBA’s inaugural Top 40 Young Lawyers in Louisiana. Trey is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts.
Trey received his J.D. in 2013 from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he participated in the Moot Court Board and served as secretary of the Vanderbilt Alternative Dispute Resolution Organization from 2011-2012. He earned his B.A. in 2010 from the University of Notre Dame, and he currently serves as the president of the Notre Dame Club of South Louisiana.
In the community, Trey serves on the Board of Directors of the Baton Rouge Bar Association. Within the BRBA, Trey served as chairman of the 2018 Baton Rouge Bar Association Belly Up to the Bar Committee, and in recognition of his service, received a BRBA President’s Award. The annual BRBA fundraiser cook-off competition among law firms raises money for Youth Education programs, including Teen Court, the High School Mock Trial Competition, Law Day, Lawyer in the Classroom, and the Junior Partners Academy. Trey is also a member of the Board of Governors for Theatre Baton Rouge.
