Patrick D. Seiter is a former Partner and current Special Counsel at Taylor Porter. Pat represents and advises healthcare clients in a wide range of business, transactional, and regulatory matters, including business organizations and contracts, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, managed care and provider network contracts, fraud and abuse, Stark, health information technology, HIPAA, EMTALA, medical staff, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, federal and state regulatory compliance, and alternative delivery and payment systems. He also has experience and a particular interest in the unique relationships and challenges of academic medicine.
Prior to returning to the firm in 2024, Pat acted as general counsel for a non-profit hospital in Baton Rouge. In his role, he was responsible for providing legal support and direction to the non-profit entity, its governing body, and executive leadership. He also provided oversight of all hospital legal and compliance issues.
Pat earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. He also holds a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Healthcare Organizations and Policy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Alabama.
Mr. Seiter formerly served on the Foundation for Woman’s Board of Directors and currently serves as Board Chair of the Bridge Center for Hope.
