Bethany Breaux Percle is an Associate whose practice focuses on construction law, commercial transactions, real estate matters, and medical malpractice defense. She represents public and private owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, developers, design professionals, businesses, property owners, and healthcare providers in both complex litigation and transactional matters throughout Louisiana. Her construction experience includes heavy highway, industrial, commercial, and residential projects. Her practice also includes contract review and enforcement, claim development, lien issues, and public bid disputes.
Bethany regularly advises clients on contract drafting and negotiation, risk allocation, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. Her construction practice is strengthened by advanced industry-specific training, including completion of the Business Law Seminar and General Contractors Seminar offered by the Louisiana Contractor’s Accreditation Institute in conjunction with Louisiana Economic Development, the Louisiana Licensing Board for Contractors, and the Louisiana Community and Technical College System. She is also a licensed and registered Louisiana Electronic Remote Notary (eRON).
In addition to her practice, Bethany currently serves as a co-editor for Thomas Reuters Louisiana Practice: Corporations, contributing to a leading legal resource relied upon by practitioners across the state.
Bethany earned her J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she was recognized for her academic excellence and commitment to public service. She received the Gillis Long Poverty Law Center Social Justice and Public Service Award and the St. Thomas More Public Service Award in recognition of her dedication to service. She also earned the highest grade in her Legal Research and Writing and Real Estate Transactions courses. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University.
During law school, Bethany served as a judicial extern to Justice James T. Genovese at the Louisiana Supreme Court. Following graduation, she served a two-term judicial clerkship with the Honorable Judge A. Gerard Caswell of the 27th Judicial District Court in St. Landry Parish, where she gained substantial experience in civil litigation and judicial decision-making.
Bethany is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, all Louisiana courts of appeal, all Louisiana federal courts, the Louisiana Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
She is an active member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association (Construction Section), the American Bar Association (Construction Forum), the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit (BAFFC), and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel (LADC). She is also a member of the Governmental Relations Committee for the Associated Builders and Contractors, Pelican Chapter.
Committed to service beyond her legal practice, Bethany serves on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge for the 2025–2027 term.

- Lead transaction counsel in the $2.5 million dollar sale of a mid-size commercial and residential alarm company, managed due diligence, drafted and negotiated definitive agreements, and coordinated closing.
- Lead transaction counsel in the review and drafting of Master Service Agreements, Multi-Site Work Agreements, Subcontract Agreements, and Master Purchase Agreements for an international, full-service heavy industrial crane and rigging company.
- Lead counsel on several collection matters for the largest distributor of building productions in the United States, successful in obtaining 5 default judgments, and collected over $1.1 million dollars from debtors since April 2023.
- Lead counsel for an employer in a dispute concerning defalcation and fraud of company funds by an employee of a large industrial and commercial construction contractor and successfully obtained judgment to collect all amounts owed to employer.
- Counsel for general contractor on $304 million dollar dispute concerning defective work on a federal consent decree project in Shreveport, LA and assisted in bringing the matter to resolution.
- Counsel for owner in a $31 million dollar dispute concerning defective construction on a project for the development of a HUD multi-family apartment complex in Southwest Louisiana and assisted in bringing the matter to resolution.
- Assisted in high-stakes $42 million dollar litigation involving enforcement and defense of indemnitors concerning a surety indemnity agreement arising from multiple LADOTD highway, road, and bridge projects across Louisiana and assisted in bringing the matter to resolution at a mediation in New York.
- Counsel for lowest and responsive bidder on $6.3 million dollar public project for the Parish of East Baton Rouge in a public bid dispute and assisted in successfully obtaining judgment in favor of the award of the public construction contract to the lowest and responsive bidder.
- Counsel for homeowners in a $670,000 dispute concerning breach of contract regarding the construction of plaintiffs’ home by unlicensed contractor and assisted in bringing the matter to resolution.
- Counsel for local subcontractor in a $175,000 dispute concerning breach of contract arising out of materials to be supplied for a large LADOTD bridge project in West Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana and assisted in bringing the matter to resolution.
- Counsel for local restaurant in a dispute concerning defective and incomplete construction performed by an unlicensed contractor and successfully obtained default judgment.
- Counsel for medical provider in a medical malpractice dispute concerning alleged intentional conduct and discrimination against an HIV patient. Successfully defended the medical provider before the trial court and First Circuit Court of Appeal. Doe v. Banks, 385 So.3d 706 (La. App. 1 Cir. 3/13/24).
